Zinzinnati, OH (July 6, 2023) – Oktoberfest Zinzinnati®, sponsored by Samuel Adams and produced by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber, gets bigger and better as it moves to 5th Street! From September 14-17, 2023, the nation’s largest Oktoberfest will convert downtown Cincinnati’s 5th Street into a vibrant Bavarian village serving up German cuisine, entertainment, and beer. To zelebrate the return to 5th Street, festivities will commence one day earlier, feature expanded entertainment and activities, and open one hour earlier on Sunday.

“We’re excited to return to 5th Street, a location that is nostalgic for many of our long-time attendees,” said Chelsea York, Vice President of Events and Experiences at the Cincinnati Regional Chamber. “The move to 5th Street will refresh the event while maintaining a piece of its history.”

“We’re really excited for the return of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati and we are proud to be the presenting sponsor,” said Samuel Adams. “We’re always looking for ways to support the community in which our coworkers live, work, and play, and love celebrating the city’s rich German history alongside so many friends and neighbors over a stein – or two!”

Thirsty attendees won’t have to wait for Friday to enjoy the Oktoberfest Zinzinnati festivities this year. The kegs will be tapped on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 4 p.m., kicking off with prosts and toasts that will continue until 10 p.m. This marks the second occasion where the festival was extended to four days, the first being in 2021 following a year of absence in 2020.

The taps will also start flowing one hour earlier on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 10 a.m., allowing fans to don their tiger-striped dirndls and lederhosen, raise a pint to the AFC North Champs, and tailgate prior to the Cincinnati Bengals’ home opener.

With extra time to zelebrate, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy beloved entertainment like the ‘Running of the Wieners’ and the ‘Chicken Dance’ while also experiencing new entertainment and activities. Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is excited to welcome the Bavarian Band, Die Bubis, to the queen city. Featuring rich sounds of brass, electric guitars, drums and vocals, Die Bubis will bring the energy with multiple performances over the four-day event.

Additionally, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is set to introduce a new designated area that will feature a wide range of activities, food, and beverages for all ages. The creation of this space aims to provide an environment where everyone can come together and celebrate the rich German heritage of southwestern Ohio.
